Laure & The Little Spoons

Laure and the Little Spoons features Laure Wong on vocals, washboard and percussion, Stuart Tizzard on vocals and guitar, Thom Carlton on guitar, Michel Rolland on bass guitar, and Patrick Moindron on drums. The band plays an imaginative mixture of Blues, soul and funk, creating a uniquely individual rendition of both the great and lesser known artists, such as Robert Cray, Bonnie Raitt and Link Wray. The vocals of Laure Wong combined with the Little Spoons grazing the Washboard enhances the band's unique style. Her vocals harmonise with those of Stuart Tizzard, making a strong yet gentle sound. Both also sing individually, fronting the band together with powerfully expressed lyrics. The guitar of Thom Carlton is reminiscent of Albert King, but is amazingly skilful and individual. Once heard, never forgotten. Michel Rolland, creator of Cognac Blues Passions festival is a steady heartbeat for the band, combined with the rhythmic drumming of Patrick Moindron. The band formed in August/September 2025, in Cognac, but all members have played together before in various formats, finally creating Laure and the Little Spoons.
