INTIMATE LETTERS with Ensemble 360 & Paul Hawkyard as Leoš Janáček Janáček’s celebrated string quartet ‘Intimate Letters’ is brought to life with readings of the Czech composer’s candid and personal writing performed by actor Paul Hawkyard (King Minos, Monster in the Maze, 2024) and interspersed between the music. This captivating work is preceded by a Schubert masterpiece for string quartet, ‘Death and the Maiden’. Music in the Round regularly presents friendly and welcoming performances of classical music around the country. The concerts feature world-class artists from Ensemble 360 who perform music written specially for small combinations of strings, wind and piano.
