Indigo Tie Dye Hour

Learn how to liven up your white, natural fiber t-shirts, bandanas, and more with eye-popping designs in deep indigo blue!

We are limiting registration for this event to TEENS at this time.

Things you will need:

-To be A TEEN (13-17). Did we mention that we are limiting registration for this event to TEENS at this time?

-To be physically present at MCPL's Wheaton Branch at 5:30 pm on August 12, 2026!

-A natural fiber (cotton, for example) item to be dyed. If you don't have an item of your own, we have a few items.

-Old clothes that you don't care about too much. We will try to keep the mess to a minimum, but stuff happens.

-A sense of wonder and a spirit of creativity.

-To have registered for the event (see below). We are limiting it to ten people, for obvious reasons. We are expecting the spaces to fill up fast, so don't wait! Registration begins NOW!

Library Program Attendance (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a program intended for children must have an accompanying child.

If you plan to attend with a group of ten or more, please contact the branch at least one week before the program to discuss how your group might be accommodated.

Accommodation Requests

People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the library-sponsored program they plan to attend.
