From Page to Screen

Join local author Amanda Uhl and filmmaker Chris Esch for a behind-the-scenes look at how her novel was brought to life through a cinematic book trailer filmed on location in Cleveland. Amanda will share how the idea developed, how real actors, a local cafe, camera equipment, story planning, and creative marketing came together to create something more like a mini-movie than a traditional book trailer. The program will include a screening of the trailer, behind-the-scenes photos and video, stories from the filming process, and a discussion of how authors can connect with readers in fresh and visual ways. Readers, writers, book clubs, film lovers, and anyone interested in local creative projects are welcome.
