A hypnotic dance in which two performers melt together in an intriguing illusion of light

In BothBodies, two performers enter a shifting world of light and illusion, searching for where the Self ends and the Other begins. Moving around a reflective, transparent screen, their bodies melt together, overlap, disappear and reappear, seemingly inhabiting each other’s space. Through this visual choreography, SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE explores how boundaries between bodies can soften and transform. What unfolds is a surreal reality in constant motion, where images dissolve as quickly as they emerge.

Balancing between intimacy and alienation, dream and physical presence, BothBodies invites the audience into a poetic and hypnotic experience; a mesmerising choreography for two bodies and their reflections that invites a more fluid way of seeing.

SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE

SKYPUNCH COLLECTIVE is the interdisciplinary performance collective of Anna Zurkirchen and Celine Werkhoven. Rooted in the language of dance, we create hybrid works that blend movement, scenography and audiovisual elements to explore intimacy, perception, and identity. Our fascination for human sensation and perception results in sensorially stimulating performances and live experiences in diverse settings — from traditional theaters to natural landscapes, video installations, and public space. AMSTERDAM FRINGE FESTIVAL

Each year in September, Amsterdam Fringe Festival showcases a mixture of theatre, performance and dance, created by new, upcoming and untamed talents.

We present a multidisciplinary program containing over 55 artists of diverse backgrounds, origins and futures. Our festival is a free zone for experiment and offers a stage to new makers and their stories. Amsterdam Fringe Festival is an ode to theatrical madness, independent minds and a plea to artistic freedom. A warm, intimate embrace of experimentation at its core: the outcome might be extremely surprising.

The entire city is our playground: from a garden to a bar and into a theatre, north to south; for 11 days you can find us at 23 locations, spread across Amsterdam.
