Avec A Patch of Blues, Fati Jones, Rebecca Egwuenu, Sam Jones, Stacy Norris
Free blues and soul concert by Chicago band A Patch of Blues at Epiphany’s Catacombs with Golden Hour beforehand
A Patch of Blues is an award-winning blues and soul band with members Fati Jones (vocals), Rebecca Egwuenu (lead guitar), Sam Jones (bass), & Stacy Norris (drums). The members have been playing together from a young age and developed a love for the blues, their city's heritage, and playing music together under the mentorship of some of Chicago's great blues men and women. Each member is an accomplished musician and vocalist in her own right and decided to come together to bring a unique sound and urban funky flair to their audiences.
The band has performed throughout the Chicagoland area and the Midwest in major festivals including the Chicago Blues Festival as well as in Memphis at the International Blues Challenge in 2023 & 2024. Having a majority of female instrumentalists for a Blues band makes A Patch of Blues special. The band received a Chicago Music Award for Most Outstanding Band in 2024 and was nominated twice for an Intercontinental Music Award for instrumental excellence and soulful rendition of the Blues. Sam Jones joined the group in 2024 on bass. They have performed at Buddy Guy's Legends and Rosa's Lounge.
