Favourites from the Collection

Some artworks and artistic experiences linger with us – like guiding lights or fleeting sparks in memory. Collection Favourites presents some of the most powerful works from ARoS’ collection – works that have touched many, now brought together in a new exhibition showcasing one of the Nordic region’s strongest collections of installation art at scale.

Here, you can experience works by Olafur Eliasson (b. 1967), Shirin Neshat (b. 1957), Bill Viola (1951–2024) and Lu Yang (b. 1984), among others. Artists whose works are rarely shown together, as they require vast spaces or special conditions. Let yourself be surprised for the first time or look forward to a rare opportunity to revisit something that once may have resonated deeply within you.

The exhibition is curated by Anne Mette Thomsen, head of ARoS’ collection and exhibition administration.
