English Conversation Circle: Coffee Chat
Weekly informal English practice over coffee for newcomers to build confidence in everyday Canadian situations
In partnership with TCCSA, this program provides newcomers with a relaxed and supportive environment to practice English and learn about life in Canada.
Each session begins with casual conversations over coffee, followed by engaging discussions on practical, everyday topics related to life in York Region. The program helps participants build confidence in navigating real-life situations such as visiting the bank or hospital, handling unexpected events like car accidents, and engaging in small talk in casual Canadian settings. Through interactive lessons, participants will improve their English-speaking and interpersonal skills while learning useful vocabulary and phrases they can apply in daily life.
Learning Outcomes:
• By the end of the program, participants will feel more comfortable, confident, and prepared to communicate in English, in a variety of everyday situations.
