DIY Soap Workshop for Teens
Hands-on DIY soap workshop at West Loop Library for teens 13–19 to make and customize take-home natural soaps
Store-bought soap is often a synthetic detergent bar containing surfactants like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, artificial fragrances, preservatives, and hardening agents. They often contain unnecessary ingredients and can be more expensive and less eco-friendly. Making soap at home from natural fats (oils and butters) and moisture-retaining glycerin produces a more "true soap".
Join the Chicago Public Library and M & N Crafts for a do-it-yourself workshop to customize the shape, scent, and moisture level of take-home soaps. All necessary materials will be provided.
For teens 13–19
