Create It! with Future Creators and Innovators [#teencentral]

The Create It! Workshop Series is a two-week creative arts and media program designed to introduce youth to various forms of artistic expression, digital media, storytelling, and performance arts. Through interactive, hands-on workshops, students will explore creative industries while building confidence, teamwork, and innovation skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Teens will engage in workshops focused on content creation, visual arts, photography, filmmaking, branding, theater, and digital editing while learning from guest speakers and creative professionals. Teens can sign up for all 6 workshops as each one builds on the next, or can drop in for the workshops that are most interesting or relevant to them.
Day 1: Logo Design & Sticker Creation on Canva Teens will design custom logos and stickers using Canva while learning the basics of branding, creativity, and graphic design.
Day 2: Photography & Visual Storytelling Workshop Teens will learn photography fundamentals, including lighting, angles, composition, and storytelling through images.
Day 3: Theater : Guest Speaker – Victoria Yordt of Artservatory Teens will be introduced to theater, stage presence, confidence-building, storytelling, and performing arts career pathways through an engaging guest speaker session.
Day 4: Canvas Painting Workshop A hands-on painting workshop encouraging creative self-expression through visual art, color, and imagination.
Day 5: Digital Creator Workshop: Guest Speaker - Mark Brodie In this workshop, Mark will introduce students to the fundamentals of digital storytelling and show how images, video, sound, and narrative can be combined to create compelling stories that inform, inspire, and engage others. 1. Day 6: Video Editing & Post-Production Workshop Teens will learn editing basics such as transitions, sound, captions, and post-production techniques to transform raw footage into completed creative projects.
About Future Creators & Innovators (FCI)
Future Creators & Innovators (FCI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2023 by Rebekah Israel while she was a student at Miami Dade College. What began as a passion for helping young people explore their potential has grown into a community-focused organization dedicated to career exploration, creativity, leadership development, and hands-on learning experiences.
Now a student at Emerson College, Rebekah continues to lead FCI's mission of connecting students with professionals, mentors, and real-world opportunities that inspire confidence and future success. As the organization has expanded, Rebekah recruited Sophia Lam to serve as Director of Programs & Outreach. Sophia is an Emerson College graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and minors in Public Relations and Nonprofi
