Practical training by a police instructor to help healthcare staff recognise and manage potentially escalating situations
This session is facilitated by a Police Officer Training Instructor
All Staff working with patients / clients
This session is delivered by a member of the States of Jersey Police.
This training builds on from the lone worker session, exploring communication skills and techniques to enable staff to recognise and manage a difficult situation that has the potential to escalate.
De-Escalation involves learning non-physical techniques that are helpful in managing aggressive behaviour through the understanding of body language, tone of voice and communication skills.
