Botanical Monotype

Learn how to make your own monotype, a unique, one-of-a-kind print, using botanicals! Artist Diana Eicher will teach you how to ink up botanicals and plant materials, transfer plants to a plexiglass plate, paint with inks, and print designs using a printing press to make a one-color print to take home. Diana Eicher is the Director of the Printmaking and Paper Studio at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She is a visual artist working at the intersection of identity, lived experience and material processes. Specializing in printmaking and papermaking, her practice bridges solo studio work and collaborative environments. As a teaching artist, she loves working with students of all ages by sharing the joy of printmaking.
