Join us for a reading from Home Sweet Hell, Q&A discussion, and performances across poetry, theatre and music exploring womanhood, desire, love, home, motherhood, sex work and more.

Sexquisite Founder Maedb Joy immortalises the work of her project Home Sweet Hell through an 80 page zine consisting of poetry, playtext, notes from iPhone, notebook, pieces of herself. Home Sweet Hell was a play and poetry collection developed by Maedb Joy 2021 - 2023. Much of the work was written whilst on shift working minimum wage bar jobs, as a coping mechanism post argument with partner, and in the aftermath of destruction. It explores re-entering sex work as a means to pursue a career as a writer, but destroying the only thing that has ever felt like home in the process.
