23-year-old singer-songwriter Kamal. rose to prominence during the pandemic with emotional bedroom pop cuts attracting the attention of the likes of Billie Eilish. Dubbed by Rolling Stone as the ‘Gen Z prodigy blending romance with introspection’ he established himself as a singular voice of melancholy in British music, featuring on tracks by Dave and Central Cee. Since then the north-west Londoner has embraced a harder sonic and refused to shy away from daunting questions, repeatedly exploring the feelings of isolation, anxiety, and nihilism that shape the everyday experiences of his generation.
