Bridges have been an important part of transportation growth and development in the District. In Bridges of Washington, DC: A History & Guide (linked to catalog), local author and historian Bob Dover covers the history of bridges from the mid 18th century to modern day and what bridges you can see today.
Copies of the book are available to check out from the library. A book sale and signing will follow at the end of the author talk.
