A People's Choir DC (SING-ALONG)

A People’s Choir DC is a free, themed sing-along. The theme will be announced soon!

We'll be up on the second floor at DC9 Nightclub. Singing starts around 7:30pm, but come early to enjoy DC9's BOGO Happy Hour from 5-7pm. The big, sliding door halfway to the roof should be open by 7:10pm or so.

For those of you wondering what this is all about:

A People's Choir DC is a casual sing-along. It isn't a performance; it's a group effort. We play the actual songs (not the karaoke version, without the vocals), with lyrics on the music videos, and you can stand around or sit or dance...and sing.

If you don't know a song, no worries - make up the tune as you go or just sit it out. There is no sheet music at A People's Choir, only song lyrics.

We don't care about your singing ability, just your enthusiasm - and we're pretty flexible in that area as well. Just show up and enjoy yourself! It's free. 21+. Note: This event takes place up one flight of stairs; please send us a message if you have questions about accessibility.

DC's choir is based off of the original "A People's Choir" from Portland, Oregon.

The theme for our next sing-along is pretty straightforward - we're singing songs that talk about sleeping or dreaming. Pajamas optional!
