Slip Martin
Live intimate indie folk set featuring Leeds singer-songwriter Slip Martin with support from Hollie Mackenzie
**Slip Martin:**
Slip Martin is the alias of Leeds based multi-instrumentalist, George Hall. Described by Emily Pilbeam [6Music] and Christian Carlisle [BBC Introducing] as ‘dreamy alternative-pop’, Slip Martin’s is sophisticated yet accessible, for fans of James Blake, Saya Gray and Bon Iver.
An accomplished touring musician, George has toured across Europe, Asia and further afield with prolific artists including Leo Stannard, Vipertime and Jasmine Myra.
Working closely with producer, Ed Allen, Slip Martin released his first single, ‘Wallflower’ in 2023, followed by the release of his debut EP of the same title the following year. Since then, the project has received consistent support across BBC Radio 1, 6Music, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, and was longlisted for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition.
Slip Martin’s sophomore EP, ‘Travelling Somewhere, Distance Unknown’ will be released everywhere on June 26th 2026.
**Hollie Mackenzie:**
Combining delicate vocals and detailed lyricism, Hollie Mackenzie’s songs create a pleasing tension between the warmth in their sound, and lyrics that cut far deeper than they first appear. The singer songwriter draws inspiration from artists such as Kate Stephenson and Madison Cunningham, taking influence from their emotional depth to shape her own reflective songwriting style.
