King Tubby protégé Scientist helped pioneer the dub genre in the late 1970s at Studio One, gaining a reputation for his distinctive mixing style.
Scientist soon became the principal engineer at Channel One, releasing a series of classic albums in the early 1980s such as Scientist Meets the Space Invaders, Scientific Dub, Scientists Wins the World Cup, Scientist Encounters Pac-Man, Scientist and Jammy Strike Back and Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires.
Five of the songs from the album Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires were used on the K-Jah radio station playlist in the 2001 video game Grand Theft Auto 3.
