QPR Suicide Prevention
A one-session QPR gatekeeper training teaching how to question, persuade and refer someone at risk of suicide, certificate included
Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training is designed to train participants on suicide prevention techniques. Like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives. QPR is the most widely taught gatekeeper training in the world. QPR is an evidence-based training created by the QPR Institute.
What will participants learn?
• How to Question, Persuade, and Refer someone who may be suicidal. • How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide. • The common causes of suicidal behavior. • The warning signs of suicide. • How to get help for someone in crisis.
Instructors: Ashlyn Pemberton & Rebekah Collins, Certified QPR Instructors
This is a certificate training program and is limited to 30 participants, as per the QPR Institute. Participants will receive a 40-page QPR Booklet and Certificate of Completion.
