PRIMITIVE RING est composé de Bert Hoover (basse/chant), Charles Moothart (guitare/chant) et Jon Modaff (batterie). Ce power trio de Los Angeles s'est formé en septembre 2024 lorsque Hoover et Moothart se sont retrouvés en quête d'un nouveau moyen d'expression créative. En 2025, le groupe a sorti quatre 45 tours sur quatre labels différents (Greenway, In the Red, Reverberation Appreciation Society).
