Make a Bookmark with Native Plants
Outdoor walk to gather native plants, then a hands-on workshop at Dunning Library to make and laminate botanical bookmarks.
Join Jenny at the Dunning Branch and Erika from the Dunning Read Natural Area to make a bookmark from native plants.
First, Jenny and Erika will lead a walk through the Dunning Read Natural Area to pick leaves and native flowers. We will meet at 4050 N Oak Park Avenue. Once we collect our flowers and leaves, we will go back to the Dunning Branch and use watercolor paper and hammers to imprint the floral design. Additional supplies such as watercolors, markers, stamps will be provided to spruce up the bookmarks. Lastly, we will laminate the bookmarks so you will have a way to keep your place in your new favorite book.
