Date with Destiny

A date with destiny, a dance with time, the road diverges, your life flashes by, friends and lovers visit, on holy wings, your foot-forward flings, your minion kings, bashful wolf begs forgiveness, she-kachu purrs, under the eye of a pink moon, buff kirby stirs, his hand on your shoulder, his eyes bright and kind, he smiles and tells you, all will be fine, take a deep breath, why not a tryst with fate, perhaps the jama, July 26th, after eight?

Making the intelligent unintelligible, reducing acts of musical alchemy to animal instinct & contorting the familiar into something unrecognizable are Destiny’s raisons d’etre. Grown in the 80,000+ strong vinyl archive of Etobicoke’s Association of Professional Record Players (her late grandfather’s DJ organization), she was born a legacy DJ, but her sound is nothing if not iconoclastic. Finding throughlines in all the wrong places, she reminds us that any music worth its salt is good for dancing.

Trustfall is a Toronto-based artist, radio host and organizer. They have a soft spot for eclectic, left-handed selections and oddball psychedelia across all genres. They organize a bi-monthly party series called Freakers Corner at Bampot House in Toronto with their collective Freakers Union.

miss is for cutie grooves that twist and twirl you. She co-throws zoomies, a queer party dedicated to sexy/fun/playful high-energy music, and runs seesaw, a mix series for local artists. She has opened for DJ Voices, x3butterfly, Archangel, and Shai FM.
