Bone Builders — Olney Library (Class 2)
Free twice-weekly strength and balance classes for Montgomery County residents aged 55+ at Olney Library, register to reserve your spot
Join Bone Builders for a free one-hour exercise program led by volunteers for people 55 and over. We are partnering with HHS and Aging and Disability Services. To participate, you must register.
Bone Builders offers exercise classes for individuals aged 55 and over. Classes are held twice a week and are designed to increase muscular strength and bone density, improve balance, and enhance energy and well-being. Participants will use ankle and hand weights and engage in warm-up, cool-down, balance, and postural exercises.
Registration rules: when you enroll, you sign up for all classes in this 3-month session. This session starts on June 18 and ends on August 20, 2026. Classes take place at Olney Library in the large meeting room at 11:30 am and 12:30 pm on Mondays and Thursdays. Bone Builders has a strict attendance policy: to keep your spot you must attend classes twice a week. If you miss two classes without showing up or calling, you will be dropped. If you miss more than four classes during the session for any reason, you will be dropped. Participants are encouraged to bring hand weights and ankle weights. This program is for adults 55 and older and participants must be residents of Montgomery County.
