Python Essentials 1 and 2 Learning Circle
Weekly staff-guided Python learning circle for adults covering Essentials 1–2 with a certificate on completion
Learn Python and build your programming skills in a supportive group. This learning circle will meet on Tuesday afternoons from September 22 to December 8, 2-3:30pm. Learning circles are study groups guided by staff for people who want to take a free online course together in a welcoming space. Learners meet weekly and work together through the course materials. Participants are expected to commit to the duration of the course and attend all learning circle sessions.
Learners who successfully complete both courses will earn a digital badge and certificate of completion.
Python Essentials 1 is the first in a 2-course series that teaches computer programming skills including how to design, develop, and improve computer programs using the Python programming language. The course covers essential programming topics such as data types, variables, control flow, functions, and exceptions.
Python Essentials 2 is the second in a 2-course series that will prepare you for the PCAP – Certified Associate in Python Programming certification exam at Pearson VUE. This intermediate-level course covers advanced aspects of Python programming, including modules, packages, exceptions, file processing and object-oriented programming (OOP).
