Queer Kreuzberg

This one dives into the post-war period in Kreuzberg, queer refugees, migrants, and outsiders like Audre Lorde, Blixa Bargeld, and Rio Reiser. We will see Berlin’s most famous squat used as a queer refugium and for political organising. Some street art will be highlighted too.

All tours offered in English and/or German. We will do single or dual-language depending on participation.

Tour pricing and participation transparency: Everyone deserves access to culture and history. The tour has a sliding-scale that assures the guide gets a chance at a fair wage and the guests a chance at an exceptional tour. 0€ - 60€ per person

Mal (they/them/kein:e) has been guiding for 20 years and is deeply embedded in the nightlife and political communities of Berlin, including producing content for LSVD MILES and numerous queer and feminist orgs visiting or in the city. Upsi (she/her) works as a disabilities assistant-person and helps to facilitate organisation. We will always end somewhere with food, bars/clubs, and public transportation.
