When Tom Bioly and Benjamin Fröhlich founded the label Permanent Vacation in Munich in 2006, they could hardly have imagined the relevance the label would gain in the international electronic music scene almost 20 years later. Stylistically somewhere between Disco / Nu-Disco, House, Balearic, Cosmic Disco, and Italo-Disco influences—occasionally touching Neo-Trance or Indie Dance—the label has never fit neatly into a single category. Instead, Permanent Vacation has always embraced an eclectic approach to club music. Artists such as Lauer, Todd Terje, Massimiliano Pagliara, DMX Krew, John Talabot and many others have released music on the label, helping to shape and refine its distinctive sound over the years. On June 5th Permanent Vacation stops at La Java in Paris to celebrate its 20th anniversary in style !
