Barlooza

A roving cocktail competition turns Washington Avenue in Miami Beach into a tasting circuit featuring 12 bartenders and their signature drinks.

Taking place Saturday, October 10, Barlooza invites Official Taster Pass holders to visit 12 competition stations, sample each cocktail and score the finalists on taste, creativity, presentation and overall experience. Presented by the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District, the event combines the competition with live music and entertainment along the avenue.

Participating bartenders earn their spots through a preliminary voting process before advancing to the live Miami Beach finals. After the initial tasting round, the three highest-scoring competitors move on to a championship round later that evening, with one bartender receiving the Barlooza title and a $2,500 grand prize.

Official Taster Passes include samples of all 12 signature cocktails and cost $25. The event runs from 8 to 11 p.m. at participating locations along Washington Avenue.
