Snuggle + RIP Swirl + Reckonwrong
Three intimate live sets of dreamy indie/pop and hazy experimental songwriting at Strange Brew, Bristol
- Snuggle (Copenhagen / Escho)
- RIP Swirl (Berlin / in real life)
- Reckonwrong (London / new year)
-----
it's our (kneed) first outing at the brew, and we've stacked the lineup full of dreamy and hazy alternative indie/pop goodness from three of our all time favourite acts.
Snuggle is a Copenhagen-based duo: Andrea Thuesen (Baby in Vain) and former Liss guitarist Vilhelm Strange, joining worlds. Both guitar players at heart, it's riffs on riffs and rhythms, threaded with intimate conversations. Their Goodbyehouse release on Escho is full of perfect sun-soaked melodies. FFO: ML Buch, Erika de Casier, Smerz.
RIP Swirl is the alias of rising multi-instrumentalist and producer Luka Seifert, who creates moody soundscapes derived from fragments of shoegaze, trip-hop, and nostalgic atmospheres that conjure notions of teen angst and nighttime drives in the suburbs. FFO: Maria Somerville, Fine, Acopia
Reckonwrong is a London based musician and producer, who first came to DJ at knee deep in 2016, playing alongside bullion in a very memorable night of wonky dance music. Back then he was releasing off-kilter techno and house, before pivoting to eccentric voice and Fender Rhodes-led experimental songwriting, which we can't get enough of. FFO: Arthur Russell, Tirzah, Robert Wyatt
