The Stimming Pool
Film
In this drifting, playful film, an autistic camera reclaims the space. We spend time with subjects in interweaving stories – a cult film club host; a woman taking part in a diagnostic test; a young admin worker masking, and an enigmatic spirit. This experimental, hybrid feature film is co-created by a collective of autistic artists, the Neurocultures Collective, and filmmaker Steven Eastwood. An artistic invitation into what it is like to live with neurodivergence in a chaotic world often hostile to those who are different and an illuminating possibility of a world informed by neurodiverse vision.
