In Symbiotic Distortion, live sound sources are drawn from the electromagnetic fields of everyday devices such as fans, remote controls or power supplies. Using these devices alongside specialist detectors, Winterberg improvises across granular, repetitive and sustained soundscapes, drawing listeners into a psychedelic noise cosmos.
