Magic Workshop

This workshop is a crash course in the art of magic. Joe Culpepper will share sleight-of-hand techniques and tools for creating magic effects. You will learn how to make objects appear, transform, and vanish, and how to think and direct attention like a magician. No previous magic experience necessary.

Registration is required. For children ages 8 and up.

Dr. Joe Culpepper is a magician, magic consultant, and co-editor-in-chief of the academic journal Circus: Arts, Life and Sciences. He has taught magic and its adaptation to the circus arts at the National Circus School (Montreal), the Centre National des Arts du Cirque (Châlons-en-Champagne), UC Davis and beyond. He is a member of London’s Magic Circle and consults for public and private organisations.
