Irish alternative-folk six-piece Madra Salach on UK headline tour — live at The Bullingdon

Communion ONE presents:

Madra Salach

Irish alternative-folk six-piece Madra Salach have announced a UK headline tour for this autumn, kicking off in Exeter on September 30th and culminating at the iconic Camden Electric Ballroom on October 14th.

The tour will see the band return to key cities, including Manchester, where they’ll perform at New Century Hall, as well as making their debut appearances in Cardiff, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, and Oxford.

Their fanbase has grown rapidly following the release of their January 2026 debut EP It’s a Hell of an Age, which reached No. 3 on the Irish Albums Chart and broke into the Top 10 of the UK Official Independent Albums Chart.

The EP features fan favourites “The Man Who Seeks Pleasure” and “Blue & Gold,” both of which were added to the BBC 6 Music Playlist. It also includes two traditional covers, “Spancil Hill” and “Murphy Can Never Go Home,” which were staples of the band’s early sessions in Dublin. The EP takes its title from the opening line of “Murphy Can Never Go Home,” a song that tells the story of an Irish labourer who spends his life working in Britain, gradually losing touch with his roots.

The band will also feature on The Songs of Shane MacGowan, an upcoming tribute album honouring the late Pogues frontman, alongside contributions from an all-star lineup including Bruce Springsteen, Primal Scream, Tom Waits, Johnny Depp, Lisa O’Neill, and more.

Fuelled by a feverish word-of-mouth buzz, Madra Salach are fast emerging as one of the most talked-about acts of the year. They are set for a busy festival season, with appearances lined up at Primavera, Roskilde, Latitude and more, as well as supporting Kneecap at their massive Crystal Palace show this June.

With a sold-out headline Irish tour completed in February, the band are currently in the midst of their first UK headline tour which concludes at The Dome in London this Thursday (March 26th).
