Dead Calm is a band led by Liam McCay, a young Irish musician from County Donegal who records under several aliases (Sign Crushes Motorist, Dead Calm, Take Care). His work moves through slowcore and introspective indie rock. He began on fiddle, switched to guitar during the pandemic, and has released extensive material while keeping a low‑key approach to his growing career.
