William Jack

William Jack is an Australian multi-style cellist and songwriter. He blends a jazz guitar background into an unconventional cello style, moving between virtuosic folk and bluegrass compositions and non-Western sound worlds.

Since studying classical music in Vienna, William has toured Europe, Australia and the UK extensively. He recently performed solo compositions from his album collection This Old Cello Box live on BBC Radio 3 at the Edinburgh Fringe, was selected as a New Folk songwriter at the Kerrville Folk Festival, and received the best music award at the 2025 Adelaide Fringe.
