Sarah Kane's "Cleansed" returns to the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation on 28 September 2026, opening its second consecutive season after a sold-out first run. Dimitris Karantzas directs the seven-actor ensemble: Christos Loulis as Tinker, Mairi Mina as Grace, Dimitris Kapourani as Graham, Natasa Exintavelon as Woman, Giorgos Zygouris as Rod, Nikolakis Zegkinoglou as Carl, and Thanasis Raftopulos as Robin.

Kane wrote the play in 1998. Six characters under Tinker's supervision in a university institution try to keep their identity intact in a system that punishes difference. The production runs 105 minutes without interval. If you want comfortable theatre, look elsewhere — strobe effects, explicit content, no minors.
