Summer STEaM Club: Binary Code (Science from Scientists)
Hands-on kids workshop teaching binary encoding with a take-home Binary Name Bracelet
Participants will learn what binary code is and its role in any computer. They will learn to count in binary and then use their new knowledge to encode and decode English alphabetic characters, illustrating how computers are designed to communicate information. Participants will also make a Binary Name Bracelet with beads to take home with them.
Free. Tickets will be distributed beginning 60 minutes before the program begins. Recommended for youth and their families.

Suitable for grades 3-5. Children younger than 9 must be accompanied by an adult.
