
Math Explorers
Weekly Monday math sessions for Grades 2–4 with games, puzzles and optional homework help led by a youth mentor
Math Explorers is a fun, interactive, youth-led math program designed to help children build confidence and curiosity in math through games, puzzles, and hands-on activities. Each session includes quick warm-up puzzles, a main activity, challenge math games, and simple math tricks that make learning enjoyable and accessible. Optional homework help is offered at the end of each session. The program is led by a local middle school student who loves math and enjoys helping younger kids discover that math can be fun.
For Grades 2-4. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending must have an accompanying child.
Library program attendance (both virtual and in-branch) is limited to participants within the suggested age range of the program.
Accommodation requests: People who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing should request English-language captioning or sign-language interpretation at least five days before the program. Contact the Assistant Facilities and Accessibility Program Manager for other requests.
