🔺GRANDMASTER🔺
The Grandmaster is an intergalactic traveler of time and space, writing all that he has witnessed down in a text known as the Sacred Prophecy. He has made a name for himself collecting sacred artifacts across the lands of gods and men.
This cohort of nine seasoned musicians and creatives proudly rallies as The Grandmaster’s “Zealots,” performing his “ritualistic funk” compositions as their songs.
The Zealots are prominent Texas artists: Zealot Brown (Bass) Zealot Casey (Harp, Vocoder, Modular Synthesis) Zealot Decker (percussion) Zealot Dow (Guitar) Zealot Eldred (Piano, Organ, Synthesizer, Vocals) Zealot Harding-Sloan (Vocals, Vocal Effects) Zealot Leon (Piano, Electric Piano, Clavinet, Vocals) Zealot Mizell (Drums, Vocals, CGI)
The group’s ranks include members of Sexpop, Hey Cowboy!, Rusty Dusty, Narcissus Garden, Dodo, Billy Glitter, and more.
Grandmaster released their self-titled debut LP on May 3rd, 2024, produced by Nolan Potter. It was recorded at Electric Deluxe records in Austin, TX, with engineer Will Grantham.
