Diego Alejandro is a bassist, jazz composer, painter and producer from Chile, currently based in Leipzig/Berlin (Germany). His sound, characterized by future sonic, jazz fusion, lo-fi, neo-soul and soulful melodies, draws from South American rhythm and soothing free experimentation. With a profound love for music, he weaves a captivating tapestry of cinematic harmonies and melodies in complex juxtaposition against mathematical rhythms and progressive influences without leaving the groove, elegance and good taste. He collaborates with a wide variety of artists from the neighborhood and the world.
In 2019 he released his first album as a composer Parresía "Entre planetas y cunetas." Diego Alejandro’s last release featuring Kota No Uta was played on BBC2 on Jamie Cullum's show and on Jazz FM UK. He has done live sessions and participated in artistic residencies such as 7THEX from Xjazz. He is working on a new album to be released in April.
Entry free – a modest cultural contribution is suggested if you like the band. The concert takes place in the beer garden of Berliner Berg brewery outdoors. In case of rain or bad weather please check the website to see if the event will take place as planned.
