Break City (2 Week)
Two-session breaking class for 7–16-year-olds to learn toprocks, footwork, drops and freezes at Dance City
What is it?
Breaking, also known as Breakdance, is an introduction to all elements of this iconic style. Breaking is a popular style of street dance that was created and developed as part of hip-hop culture among African American and Latino youth in New York City.
Who is it for?
Anyone aged 7-16 with some experience of breaking, wanting to develop your skills
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing, trainers or socks
What should I bring?
Bottle of water

Train & Create Together – We push each other to grow, choreograph original routines, and develop unique styles that stand out. During this class you will learn top rocks, drops, footwork and freezes. You will learn how to create your own breaking moves and technique from the various styles taught.
Compete & Represent – From battles to cyphers, we step into the circle with confidence, showcasing our skills against the best.

Please note that this event will book you two sessions of Break City
Please be aware that this class is currently rehearsing for 'Sunrise', happening on Sunday 3rd May at Dance City. Participants who are not performing in the show are still welcome to attend the classes in the lead up to the show
