Montreal's Annie-Claude Deschênes performs dystopian disco–tinged solo material from her debut LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE
Annie-Claude Deschênes embraces multidisciplinarity in her quest to merge music and performance art, challenging stage conventions. A prominent figure in Montreal's independent music scene for over twenty years, she gained recognition as the frontwoman of the cult bands Duchess Says and PyPy.
Annie's solo project marks a shift from sheer aggression to dystopian disco vibes. Inspired by minimal pop and electronic pioneers, her debut album, LES MANIÈRES DE TABLE, is both danceable and disquieting, reexamining social codes of politeness.
