Andrea von Kampen

Andrea von Kampen is a Nebraska-based singer-songwriter whose music blends intimate storytelling, poetic lyricism, and warm acoustic arrangements. Rooted in the landscapes of the Great Plains, her songs explore connection — to the natural world, to one another, and to the quiet moments that shape us.

With over 60 million Spotify streams, releases on Fantasy Records, and appearances at respected folk and Americana festivals, von Kampen has built a devoted global following. Her national breakthrough came early with a Top 10 NPR Tiny Desk shout-out in 2016, and in 2019 she self-released her debut full-length album Old Country.

Her 2025 EP Before I Buy a Gun protests the resurgence of hateful rhetoric in American politics, offering an urgent yet hopeful collection of songs calling for justice, solidarity, and compassion. She has performed at Newport Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, and toured with artists such as The Tallest Man on Earth, Punch Brothers, Trampled by Turtles, and The Wood Brothers.
