Weekly Life Drawing Classes

Weekly pay-as-you-go Life Drawing classes with artist and tutor Scott Bridgwood. Ideal for complete beginners or more experienced artists seeking a flexible opportunity to do life drawing with experienced models and a professional tutor. No need to commit to a long course — simply book the dates you can make and pay per session. You will be encouraged to pursue your own style with guidance from the tutor as required. Scott will support individual needs and goals, with focus areas such as draughtsmanship, composition or concept.

A range of drawing materials, paints and papers are provided and models are rotated to offer a variety of body types each week. This term there will be 12 sessions on Tuesday evenings 18:00–20:00, and 9 sessions on Friday evenings 18:00–20:00 — please book each session individually.

Tuesdays, 18:00–20:00: 14 April 21 April 28 April 5 May 12 May 19 May 2 June 9 June 16 June 23 June 30 June 7 July

Fridays, 18:00–20:00: 17 April 24 April 1 May 15 May 22 May 12 June 26 June 3 July 10 July

About the tutor: Scott Bridgwood is a practising artist with over 30 years' experience after graduating from Chelsea School of Art (1992). He has taught in Rome and at De Montfort University and has worked at Attenborough Arts Centre for nearly 20 years.

Further information: Participants must be aged 18+. All materials are provided. If a session is sold out you can join a waiting list via Box Office on 0116 252 2455 or arts-centre@le.ac.uk. Courses are non-refundable if cancelled within 21 days of the start date. Carers/PAs are welcome and have a free place — please book their place when booking. For access needs contact the Box Office. The venue has four blue badge parking spaces and nearby short stay roadside blue badge parking.
