BCT Friday Bumps and Babes Playgroup

BCT Bumps and Babes Playgroup for expecting parents and parents of babies up to 1 year old.

The BCT Bumps and Babes playgroup is the place to meet families in Basel. Come connect with new and expecting parents and introduce your baby to their very first friends. This group is especially designed for those from expecting parents up to one year old babies. It is a great resource to ask questions and exchange advice with other parents. The BCT's prenatal and postnatal educator, Susie Atkinson, can also share her insider tips to childbirth and parenting in the Basel area.

The group meets at Magical Cafe (Max Kämpf Platz 2, 4058 Basel) on Fridays from 10:30–12:00. The cafe has a play area for small children as well as a selection of drinks, baked goods, daily soup, and bagels for lunch. BCT members who show their digital membership card during the playgroup timeslot will receive a discount on their purchase.

Attendance to the BCT playgroup is free for BCT members. Non-members are welcome to 2 free visits to try the playgroup. Afterwards please purchase a membership or pay 5 CHF per visit to support the BCT.

One special feature of the BCT Bumps and Babes playgroup is that it is held immediately following Susie Atkinson's Mignon Baby Connected and Contented Baby Course. Mignon Baby is a partner of the BCT and offers various courses for pre- and post-natal support. The Connected and Contented Baby course helps babies make cognitive and social connections. The playgroup is an excellent opportunity to connect with useful information as well as with other parents and expecting parents.

BCT members receive discounts for the Connected and Contented Baby Course (5 CHF off an individual class or 10 CHF off a block booking of four or more classes). It is not required to attend the course to join the playgroup.

BCT Playgroup Rules

1. Non-members are welcome to 2 free visits per playgroup. Afterwards please purchase a membership or pay 5 CHF per visit. 2. Please register for the playgroup via Eventbrite ahead of time to help stay within room capacity limits. 3. Photo Policy: Avoid taking photos with other children in the background and do not post photos of other children on social media or messaging chats.
