As a female creative, it feels especially important to shine a light on an ongoing issue that affects women across Detroit, the U.S., and around the globe.

Women, our rights, our safety, and simply existing as women are too often taken for granted, while women continue to be objectified and made to feel unsafe in spaces that should belong to all of us. We stand together as women and as a collective to create a safer, more inclusive space on October 10—and to carry that intention forward into our dance spaces, creative spaces, nightlife, and everyday spaces.

This is about looking out for one another, amplifying each other, and making room for women to exist, create, dance, and take up space without fear.
